The white building on the right of this picture is our local pub, The Hollybush at Denford.

Taken yesterday, now its chucking it down and summer seems a long way away.

The ghost of old wall paper and paint give these walls so much texture.

I love the contrast from plastered and unplastered.

I love photographing in old or disused buildings, but working in one that is being done up is very exciting, there is always such a lot going on and they make for very interesting photos.

When working on this pictures I was reminded of the entrance to an Egyptian tomb.

Found this on the old blog and still love it Buddhist prayer. Grant that I may be given appropriate difficulties and suffering on this journey so that my heart may be truly awakened and my practice of liberation and universal compassion be truly fulfilled. Let us bow in gratitude to those we have lost, who taught our hearts to break open so deeply and paradoxically made our hearts softer and stronger.

My 100th post of the 10 year Aniversary blog, so I thought I would post a picture from a shoot I'm very proud of that I took earlier this year. I'm surprised that I have made it this far as work takes up so much of both my time and my photography that there is very little time left for anything else. Only 265 posts to do!

This blog is all about reflecting on the past 10 years since my first blog, and the last few posts have looked at the changes that have happened locally. Well one of the biggest changes is this place a great local sucsess story. But why the title, well just under 10 years ago I wrote this blog post. Palestine 1 Israel 271 In the season of peace and goodwill to all men, the guardian of some of the worlds most holy sites, Israel, has celebrated it by launching over 100 air strikes against the Gaza strip. This is the same Gaza strip that they have been blockading for months, cutting off vital services and disrupting the flow of much need medical and humanitarian supplies, much needed now that they have nearly 1000 casualties to cope with after the air strikes. All these attacks are in response to rocket attack fired at them, around 70, which have lead to the death of 1 Israeli. 10 years ago I went around my childhood streets, so I thought I would repeat some of the shots, starting with this one from 10 years ago, the scene of my first job.

10:45pm on the day before an early start is not the time to be blogging, this was so much easier last time around when I was only working 6 hours a day and really did not care about work. A picture from the Leek show and one of the best I took that year, timing is everything.

At 5.30pm on a red-hot bank holiday Saturday I should be in a beer garden but when work involves photographing these two, it's not really that much of a problem.  Photographing this year's Chestnut Queen for the publicity shots in the run-up to this year's fete. Hopefully, she will be off the crutches and her maid of honor will have the use of both arms.

A rare day off, I might spend it messing about on a boat.
